I was born and raised in Bolivia, therefore Spanish is my native tongue. I hold a bachelor's degree in Tourism Management, from the Universidad Catolica Boliviana, and I worked in the travel industry for 6 years, therefore my Spanish level is not only to native level, but educated in college subjects such as finances, business, traveling, tourism, environment and culture.
Working in the travel industry gave me the ability to expand my knowledge about my culture and since I lived in Latin America until I was 30 years old, I possess a deep knowledge and understanding of the Spanish speaking world.
In 2011 I got certified to teach Spanish as a foreign language. Currently I have 11 years of experience teaching Spanish in international schools in three different countries: UAE, Egypt and South Korea. Last year I moved to the United States and I started teaching Spanish virtually, completing 12 years of Spanish teaching in person and in remote settings.
Being an English language learner myself, I understand the struggles and challenges that students face, therefore I strive to provide many resources, but overall understanding, empathy and patience to create a comfortable learning atmosphere.
I am passionate about teaching and learning. I am always looking for new opportunities to increase my abilities and skills. In 2020 I earned a Master's degree in Education and I have completed all the requirements to apply for Teaching Licenses in different states in the United Sates, to become a fully licensed as a K-12 Spanish teacher. I am also member of the ACTFL. Aside from teaching, I am also passionate about Curriculum development. I server as Curriculum Leader for the Word Language department for four years in my last school in South Korea.
I am constantly looking for more certifications, workshops, and resources that can help me become a the best teacher and tutor for any person who wishes to learn my language.
